The Kiwanis motto, “Serving the Children of the World,” embraces the service ideals of Kiwanis International with its rich history of projects, donations, sponsorships, and civic involvement. Kiwanis has greatly benefited the community of Washington, Wilkes County, Georgia.

The spring Tour of Homes has been a major project of the club for well over 55 years. It showcases not only the fantastic antebellum homes for which Washington is famous, but also other homes, old and new, with historical and architectural significances of their own. The tour annually attracts as many as 1,500-1800 visitors and is a terrific boom to the town and its economy.
